Was walking through town to run some errands and this was the only opened Chinese restaurant in town as the other 2 closer to where I parked my car was closed, probably due to the moon festival holiday. Anyway, me and my family managed to get a table short notice, even though we didn't have much time until they had to close to clean up for their night time opening. We got our food quickly, food was delicious and staff was friendly, they even gave my 2 young daughters a lollipop.would come back whenever I have time and when I come back in town.

I spent most of my life in London where there are countless Chinese restaurants and takeaways. Moving to Dumfries had deflated my expectations of getting anything nearly as interesting as you would find in the Capital. However I was recommended Pearl Palace and was pleasantly surprised. I have been there on a number of occasions when it's very busy and when it's very quiet and it has consistently been great! Excellent friendly service, tasty food, huge menu, clean and relaxed atmosphere, cosy vibe and very reasonable prices. Dumfries has gem there!
